Newly built cottages with large windows and therefore providing excellent views over the lake Apavatn and the surrounding mountains. Perfect for couples looking for a romantic escape in this serene and picturesque area.
During summer friendly sheep are roaming outside and during winter guests can visit the sheep shed during specific hours.
We offer service for travelers due to current travel restrictions (food delivery and such). Our cottages are suited for those that need to in quarantine. And we clean and sterilize according to government rules and conditions.
We started building the cottages the late summer of 2017 and they were ready in June 2018. We try to assist our guests in any way possible.
The area is beautiful and situated within the Golden circle area, therefore close to many famous landmarks. The Austurey cottages are off the main road so you will not experience much traffic. It is relatively close to Laugarvatn (8km) which has many restaurants and a pool spa (Laugarvatn Fontana).
