Welcome to our beautiful home. The head of our family, my father Albert John Chettri is 87 (but will give any 16 year old a run for his money) and a great story teller. At your leisure, if you choose to, you could listen to his stories about Darjeeling during the 1930s where there were no proper roads and vehicles and how as kids they had to walk from Kalimpong to Darjeeling. One never gets bored with his stories. Rest of the family members have equally interesting stories to share. My mother is a flower person and she will have loads of beautiful seasonal flowers throughout the year for you to see and admire. If the weather is clear you can also join us for our early morning walks to Batasia Loop and catch the most spectacular views of Darjeeling and her crown - The Himalayas.
I am Rebecca your host, I worked with a Diplomatic Mission in Delhi for 21 years. I am a huge traveler myself and it is my love for Darjeeling and nature that has brought me back home after a successful career. I love traveling, cooking, reading, baking and meeting people.
住宿信息
West Point Backpackers' Hostel is situated on the outskirts of Darjeeling, about 3 kms from the main town. We offer 2x2 inter-connected rooms which are wood partitioned to keep your warm.
As we are situated on the main road, you do not have to worry about hauling your luggage up the slopes. Furthermore, you will be able to see the world heritage toy train pass by, literally an arm's length away. One major problem Darjeeling faces is the acute water shortage and, as such, you will not be able to find any accommodation which can offer flowing water. However, we can provide our visitors sufficient water though we encourage you to “Save Water” by using this scarce resource judiciously. In concurrence with the world citizens' concern for the environment, we have tried our best to make your rooms Eco-friendly.
If you are not sure what to do or where to visit, do let us know and we will recommend the best for you keeping in mind your interests.
