Gleeson’s Townhouse & Restaurant a lovingly restored 19th century building is a charming townhouse at the heart of hospitality overlooking the bustling market square in picturesque Roscommon Town, the gateway to the West of Ireland and County Roscommon’s idyllic lakelands.

Our charming townhouse accommodation is a choice of 19 superior and standard rooms with two luxury suites, all ensuite with high levels of luxury and comfort. If a spot of fishing takes your fancy, Lanesborough is located on the main River Shannon at the northern end of Lough Ree which is a short 20 minute drive from Roscommon town. This is an ideal base for the Pike angler where Pike up to 20lbs are known to be caught. Lanesborough offers excellent facilities for the Coarse Angler.
A 20 minute drive North West of the county brings you to Boyle were Pike, Game and Coarse angling waters are abundant in this relatively unspoilt and beautiful region. Some of the waters to fish on include: Lough Key, Lough Gara, Lough Arrow and the River Shannon.
Just a short 8km drive from Roscommon town is the village of Athleague where the River Suck, famous for its trout runs through. And a further 3km is the picturesque village of Cas
