We love to see people staying at Faul House and enjoying their stay with us. We are so lucky to have all of this beauty on our door step and its great that we can share this with our guests. We have opened our doors to visitors for the last 40 years.

Welcome to Faul House. Set between the Atlantic Ocean, the Twelve Ben Mountains and preserved bog lands lies the town of Clifden on the rugged coast of Connemara. Situated in the breath-taking Ardbear peninsular, 2 km from Clifden town is Faul House. A 3 minute leisurely stroll along the lane, amidst wild gorse, flowers and hedgerows will take you to the sea. Alternatively you can walk through our farm into the idyllic setting of the old farmhouse, home to Michael’s grandfather, then on to the sea. Connemara Ponies are reared and sold off the farm and many are in foal in Spring. We would like to note that we were formerly a Bed & Breakfast. Due to the global pandemic we had to close but we built a kitchen for our guests. We no longer serve breakfast but we invite our guests to use the fully fitted kitchen and large dining area in the sitting room. We can also light the open fire for you in the sitting room in the evenings, just let us know if you would like to sit in.

Clifden is the capital of Connemara which makes it an ideal base to tour the area! There are numerous activities to spend your days such as horse riding, visiting the Connemara National Park, taking in the views from the Sky road, visiting Kylemore abbey as well as the surrounding beaches, bogs and mountains.
