Hello, this is Helen, I am the host of this guesthouse — a Chan practitioner and energy healer from China. Over the years, I have devoted myself to inner cultivation and healing work, believing that true peace arises from awareness, and deep healing flows from love and connection. Together with my Balinese family, we have created this space where the essence of Eastern Zen and the natural spirituality of Bali meet and blossom — a gentle and pure sanctuary for the soul. My young son, Komang, is very much a part of this home’s spirit. Full of life and always welcoming, he delights in greeting guests from all over the world, sharing smiles, curiosity, and play. His presence adds warmth, joy, and a playful rhythm to the calm energy of our guesthouse. We believe that every guest’s arrival is a meaningful encounter — heart to heart. May you find here a place to rest, to reconnect with your true self, and to simply be.

Our guesthouse is a serene and tidy retreat, carefully designed to help guests unwind both physically and mentally. The hostess, originally from China and a dedicated Chan practitioner, along with her Balinese family, creates a unique blend of Chinese and Balinese cultures. We take great care in serving each guest and preparing delicious meals, ensuring that everyone who stays can reconnect with their true inner selves. Despite being located in the heart of the city, our guesthouse is a peaceful oasis, with easy access to various attractions, dining options, and activities nearby.

Metteyya Healing House is nestled in the heart of Ubud, just a 10-minute walk from the main street and the famous Monkey Forest. Its central yet peaceful location makes it an ideal base for exploring Ubud’s rich cultural and natural offerings. Within walking distance, you’ll find renowned landmarks such as the Blanco Museum, Puri Lukisan Museum, ARMA Museum, Ubud Palace, Ubud Market, and the tranquil Lotus Pond. For nature lovers, there are three scenic rice field trekking routes nearby, including the iconic Campuhan Ridge Walk, perfect for a mindful morning stroll. Our location is also close to some of Ubud’s most popular yoga and meditation centers — including The Yoga Barn, Radiantly Alive, Intuitive Flow, and Alchemy Meditation — as well as well-loved plant-based restaurants like Zest, Alchemy, and Sayuri Healing Food.
