Joglo Aruna is a 14 rooms homy guest house located in the South of Yogyakarta. The rooms all have a private bathroom inside, and private entrance from the inner garden. The contemporary design of the shared kitchen, and the quietness of the inner garden make them nice places to chill out, read, or exchange with other guests...

I love outdoor activities, especially climbing and hiking. I have climbed different volcanoes in Java : Merapi, Bromo, Semeru ... I also used to be a member of Search and Rescue Team during the 2006 earthquake, and the 2010 Merapi volcano eruption. I have been involved in different projects related with natural disaster prevention, management, and reconstruction.

Joglo Aruna homestay is located 10 minutes drive from the city center and Sultan Palace. The area of Nitiprayan is the center of Yogyakarta cultural life. Most of the galleries, artists' studios and art spaces in Yogyakarta are located within a 1-kilometer radius. We propose different tours from the guest house to discover the nature surrounding Jogja and the javanese traditionnal way of life. We also can assist you to book a train or plane ticket, book a tour to Borobudur or Prambanan temple, rent a motorbike or bicycle.
