family for over 100 years.

All our cozy and comfortable guest rooms have en-suite bathrooms and
beautiful views of of the surrounding hills: Váci Hill, Lányi Hill, Pilis and Rigós. You can enjoy the fresh
and clean air and stargaze by open windows, and your wake-up call will be provided by the birds of
the forest. Guests arriving by car are benefiting from free and secure parking.
Our function room, with a built-in beehive oven, can accommodate up to 40 people for a sit down
meal, let it be a family reunion, class reunion, birthday or nameday celebration, wedding, leaving do,
meeting, corporate event.
You can taste our wines at the wine cellar, which dates back to hundreds of years, and have a look at
a 1849 hand-carved wine-press and other vintage wine-making equipment at the presshouse. Our
food from the wood-fired ovens is prepared using our ancestors’ cooking method.
Nyúl is situated at the foot of the Sokoró Hills in the Pannonhalma wine region, near Győr, in Győr-
Moson-Sopron County, in the West of Hungary.The village is easily accessible by road or by rail. On
the M1 motorway at Győr, take the exit towards Pannonhalma and Balaton (road number 82). Nyúl is
5 km from the motorway exit.

The „Maria with her child” statue is at the foot of Szurdik. At the base of the statue we can read the years 1886 and 1701.It is beileved that the statue was built on the request of Mátyás Babich, to commemorate the end of the Turkish reign.
St Donát chapel is on Kápolna utca (street), which is the extension of the street that runs parallel to Szurdik. The sanctuary of the chapel is from 1710. The mass on the Sunday following 7th August, to celebrate the Saint of the village, is held next to the chapel, at the open-air altar under the shade of old linden trees.
Old village houses
At Vincellér winecellars, there is a plaque to commemorate the over 100 soldiers from Graz, who were taken prisoners in the battle of Győr (Kismegyer) by the French army on 14 June 1809, and were held captive in wine cellars in Nyúl. A brave young woman from the village rescued them from execution and the soilders were able to return to Austria after a year spent in captivity.
