Apartment is located in old area of Split called Matejuska. Houses in this area, including ours, are old traditional Dalmatian stone houses, mainly renovated and adapted. Matejuška has for centuries been a port for boats Split fishermen, residents of Veli Varos that went to the sea, catching fish to feed their families Even today there are many small boats, fishers nets are dried , prepared and sold baits , and is close to a monument to the fishermen’s, the big hook . Matejuška is known for gatherings of enthusiasts and you will be able to see them in good mood gathered around the grill on which to bake the catch of the day, often with song and wine. One of main traditional restaurants in center of Split is buffet Fife, which is only 30 meters from apartment, offering traditional Dalmatian and Croatian food for affordable prices. In near area there are plenty of choice of restaurants, both traditional restaurants like konoba Varoš or konoba Hvaranin and new modern type of restaurants like Tinel Tavern or Paradigma.
