Villa Dione is situated on the side of a mountain 500 metres from Platys Gialos beach, the longest sandy beach in the Cycladic Islands. The property nestles within 12,000 m2 of private mountain side grounds & natural gardens. Guests can enjoy the spectacular views over Platys Gialos beach, the valley filled with olive tree groves & farms, plus surrounding mountains from all rooms in the house. Villa Dione features extensive outdoor terraces & living spaces, which include outdoor kitchen, with traditional wood fired grill & oven, plus outdoor dining & lounge areas, plus various sun decks & gym. Villa Dione Platys Gialos features two double bedrooms & one twin bedroom (which converts to a double bed). The twin bedroom has an option for a foldout bed. The master bedroom enjoys an ensuite bathroom & separate toilet, with an adjoining office that can be converted to a single bed ideal for an infant. The second & third bedrooms share a bathroom. The villa features a high spec kitchen, living & dining area, plus laundry. At Villa Dione you can enjoy peace & tranquility without neighbours, but still be on the beach & in the restaurants within a five minute walk.

The host is an Australian Brit who has been sailing throughout Greece for the past fifteen years. Several years ago he sailed into Platys Gialos bay to anchor up for the night, where he as his fellow crew went ashore for the evening. Within an hour Steve was completely captivated by the beautiful waterside setting, the friendly community & its wonderful restaurants, so decided on the spot to buy a property & build his own beach side house. Three months later Steve completed on the property & a year later Villa Dione was ready for the summer of 2023.

Just 5 minutes walk (500m) to the Platys Gialos beach, marina & its extensive range of beachside restaurants, tavernas, bars, mini-markets & bakery. 5 minutes drive (15mns walk) to the famous Chrysopigi monastery, beach & tavernas. Secluded Faros & Fassolou villages, beaches & tavernas are 10 minutes by car. The old towns of Apollonia & Artemonas, which are the central hub of activity both day & night, are 10 minutes drive. Speculator Kastro, the original capital & one of the oldest continually inhabited villages in Greece, is 15 minutes drive. Vathi & Kamares villages, beaches, tavernas are 20 minutes drive away. Plus for the adventurous there is the secluded Fikiadi beach only accessible by foot (or donkey), is 60 minute trek (make sure you have good shoes & walking stick is recommended).
