We are grateful to have the chance to share and create memories with you in our guesthouse (our grandparents home). It was originally built back in 1750 and we rebuilt it with an industrial – traditional character. The building started out as a bakery for galettes (Hydra was and is a known commercial harbor, ships, fishing and sponge boats would buy food supplies for their long journeys). The walls are the original stone walls with the chestnut wood pieces in between (traditional architecture of the time f.e. to protect from earthquakes) and the ground floor ceilings still have the original chestnut beams and softwood planks. Our grandfather was a well known construction builder and his nickname was “Mastoris”. He has been, and still is, our inspiration in every step of our project.

Our guesthouse is located in a quiet neighborhood in the center (no stairs) of Hydra. Our guests have the pleasure to see and hear the mules, donkeys and horses walking by. Just a couple of steps away is a supermarket and all the wonderful hidden jems of the island, clothing shops, small tavernas, art shops etc
