Στο κτήμα που βρίσκονται τα Theros Houses ζούσαμε με την οικογένειά μου από παλιά.Το 2009 απόφασίσαμε να μεγαλώσουμε το κτίριο και να το μετατρέψουμε σε ενοικιάζόμενα σπίτια.Θέλαμε από την πρώτη στιγμή να είναι πραγματικά σπίτια, με όλες τις σύγχρονες ανέσεις αλλά όχι απρόσωπα. Ετσι φτιάξαμε δύο σπίτια, 6 και 9 ατόμων με δικό του κήπο και πισίνα το καθένα.Φροντίσαμε οι διαστάσεις να είναι μεγάλες για να νιώθουν άνετα μεγάλες παρέες και οικογένειες διασκεδάζοντας στις πισίνες ή ψηνοντας στο BBQ τα βράδια, κάτω από τ'αστέρια. Οι κουζίνες είναι εξοπλισμένες πραγματικά για μαγείρεμα και αρκετές φορές δίνουμε μαθήματα ντόπιας μαγειρικής όταν μας το ζητήσουν. Όλη η κατασκεύή σέβεται την τοπική αρχιτεκτονική σε συνδυασμό με ιδιαίτερες λεπτομέρειες διακόσμησης. Τα σπίτια βρισκονται 100μ, από την παραλία και για να πας εκεί ακολουθείς ένα όμορφο δρομάκι ανάμεσα σε φυστικιές που μοσχομυρίζουν. Στο κτήμα μας έρχονται συχνά μεγάλες οικογένειες για να γιορτάσουν το γάμο ενός μέλους τους, παρέες φίλων που έχουν να βρεθούν καιρό και χρειάζονται ένα χώρο για να χαλαρώσουν και να διασκεδάσουν μαζί. Και εμείς χαιρόμαστε να τους βοηθάμε με κάθε τρόπο να απολαύσουν τις διακοπές που ονειρεύτηκαν
Μου αρέσει πολύ να ταξιδεύω! Επειδή αυτό δεν μπορεί να γίνεται τόσο συχνά, νιώθω ότι ταξιδεύω όταν γνωρίζω ανθρώπους από άλλες χώρες.Αυτό μου έχει δώσει πολλή χαρά σ'αυτή τη δουλειά εδώ και 6 χρόνια που ασχολούμαι. Είναι μεγάλη ικανοποίηση να αποχαιρετάς πελάτες που έζησαν τις διακοπές που ονειρεύονταν που μοιράστηκες τη χαρά τους.Από την πρώτη μέρα μέχρι σήμερα πριν υποδεχτώ τους πελάτες μας σκέφτομαι τι θα ήθελα να μου προσφέρουν εμένα οι ιδιοκτήτες αν ήμουν στη θέση τους.Δεν τους σκεφτομαι σαν νούμερα, σαν κωδικούς σε μιά λίστα αλλά σαν φίλους μου -όσο αυτοί βέβαια θέλουν να γίνουν.Προσπαθώ να μαντέψω τις προτιμήσεις τους και τους προτείνω ανάλογες δραστηριότητες ή επισκέψεις για να γνωρίσουν το νησί με πιο προσωπικό τρόπο απ'ότι προτείνουν οι οδηγοί.Στο Kalypso houses διαλέξαμε να κάνουμε τα πράγματα πιό προσωπικά, αυτό είναι όλο!
Συνεχίζουμε να ζούμε στο κτήμα και χαιρόμαστε τη γειτονιά μαζί με τους πελάτες μας.Την παραλία, τους περιπάτους στα γύρω χωράφια. Στην παραλία, 3 λεπτά από τα σπίτια υπάρχει μία πολύ καλή ταβέρνα με τοπικές συνταγές και φρέσκο ψάρι. Στα 6 λεπτά, βρισκουμε ένα οργανωμένο μίνι μάρκετ όπου μπορείς να βρείς τα απαραίτητα ψώνια. Στο χωριό Καμάρι, στα 2,5 χμ. ,ή 40 λεπτά περπατημα,υπάρχουν μαγαζιά, εστιατόρια,σινεμά, μπαρ, θαλάσσια σπορ. και οινοποιία.
