The luxurious suites of the stone-built guesthouse Focalion Castle are located in the bay of Diros, alongside the famous and the same name Cave Diros (Vlychada, Alepotrypa and Katafigi), and in front of the long beach of Diros (Haliki), offer a unique view of the Messinian Gulf with the beautiful sunsets (north), and have the protection of the imposing mountain range of Taygetos with the corresponding mountaintops of Prophet Elias in Areopoli and Sangia in Pyrgos Dyrou.
The traditional settlements of Haria, Pyrgos Dyrou and the informal capital of Mani Areopoli with the magnificent alleys and the Maniatis Towers are within a distance of 2 to 5 km, as is the capital of the Municipality of East Mani, Gythio 25 km. Also, the capital of Lakonia Sparta 40 km and finally the capital of Messinia and Kalamata Airport about 70 km.
The Focalion area - the tempting spot at the Focalion Castle, is a point of reference for day trips to the wider area of the deserted - prisialis and out of Mani as well as to the rest of the prefecture of Laconia and the Messinian Mani.
