Our apartment is situated in a privately owned 1930's apartment block. Renovated in 2012 we have tried to keep many of the period features but bring the apartment up to date with all the modern appliance and amenities that our guests would need. Many of our guests comment that it feels like home and return regularly because of this.
We are a family run business. Founded by Reta after retiring from Visit Scotland as Grading and Classifications Officer she converted the family home into a Bed and Breakfast with husband John. Using her knowledge of the business Reta achieved a 5 star Gold rating from the Tourist board one of only a few in Edinburgh. In 2009 we expended in to Self Catering and bought this apartment. We have transferred the same standards and service from our B&B business to the apartments in order to give our guests the same level of service. On booking we like to make direct contact with our guest to ensure they have all the information required as well as our direct contact details in case they need any additional information or have questions. On arrival we like to meet the guests to familiarise them with the apartment and answer any questions they may have.
The apartment is 2 minutes' walk from Morningside Road the heart of Morningside. Morningside Road has everything that a guest would need from a Waitrose supermarket, to local butcher and grocer, cafes, bars, restaurants, dry cleaners and much more. As one of the main arteries into the city centre Morningside Road is serviced by many bus routes all running every 10 minutes to the city centre. Alternatively we would recommend that guests take a walk to the city through the Meadows Park and Old Town. It will take about 30 minutes but its well worth it. Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill to the South of Morningside offer leafy walks away from the city traffic and a fantastic view over the city and across to Fife as well up the Firth of Forth and East down the coast. For those more adventurous the Pentland Hill Regional Park offers over 100km of marked trails for walkers and cyclists.
Some must see attractions in Edinburgh would be Edinburgh Castle, The National Museum of Scotland, Scottish National Gallery, St Glies Cathedral, Palace of Holyrood House , The Royal Yacht Britannia and Arthur's Seat. There are many more places to see so we are happy to advise.
