The Upper School House is a luxury 2 bedroom apartment on the first top floor of a converted school house. Sleeping 4 people. Two Super king size beds with one splitting into 2 singles. Refurbishment completed in May 2023. Situated in the centre of Ashburton, a moorland village with boutique shops. 20 mins drive to the closest beach. The apartment benefits from underfloor heating and Ventilation (MHVR) throughout. Weekend/short stay bookings are available during low and high season and dogs are welcome upon request.

The Upper School House is directly opposite the play park and village green which is ideal for walking the dog. Ashburton has charming independent boutique shops ranging from "the 10 antique trail shops"; vintage clothing; gift shops and galleries; fish deli; artisan baker; local devon butcher; hairdressers; a couple of nail and health spas; pubs and eateries. There is also a lively community art centre where various top musicians perform Jazz, folk and classical performances most days. It also boasts an outside heated swimming pool with a large lawn to sunbathe on in the summer and the local ancient church St. Andrews which is open for service on Sundays as is Buckfast Abbey in Buckfastleigh 10 mins drive away. Dawlish Warren Beach and Nature Reserve is a 20 minute drive as is Motherombe Beach. Bantham Beach is a 40 minute drive and popular with Surfers and . Dartmoor National Park is a 3 minute drive from the Meeting House and has many other attractions for children close by such as River Dart Country Park, Pennywell Farm . From Ashburton one can also explore The South Hams and the South Devon area of outstanding Natural Beauty. From the front door one can take advantage of some lovely local country walks to the blue bell woods along the river Ashburn which takes you out into the countryside and onto the moor. Dartmouth, Exeter and Plymouth are a 30 minute drive and provide many attractions.
