A passionate project for our new team, the Filly is immaculate from the moment you arrive with all the finishing touches you would expect from a good pub. And pub we are. The Filly is a charming, traditional country inn that dates back to the 16th Century. Thanks to the charm of this old building, each of our seven newly-refurbished bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms are unique. The Filly has benefited from a recent investment; within the spacious and extensive ground floor, you will find a cosy and quaint bar & snug area upon entrance, leading through to an an immaculately decorated lounge with deep seating in soft velvets and leathers along with a roaring wood fire. Keep sidling through to where the walnut panelled dining room opens out to expose high ceilings, loft-like beams and wide sliding glass doors on to the patio and garden. Stepping outside, our large garden has a plethora of different areas to enjoy whether it be sitting around the olive tree al fresco, relaxing under the stretch tent, sipping a cool drink in the dappled shade of the pergoda or keeping warm on an autumn evening gathering around the fire pit with friends.

Located in an extremely picturesque hot-spot for day trippers and over-night stays alike, The Filly offers everything you could wish for in a traditional country inn. The Filly is right at the heart of the New Forest heath and moorlands. Countless wild ponies and donkeys roam along with regularly spotted wild deer and cattle. New Forest walks and cycling tracks are right on the doorstep, with sailing, horse riding and wild camping close at hand.
