Sheriff Lodge is a stunning, stone building with five lettings rooms, all recently redecorated to a high standard. Sheriff Lodge is also one of the few licensed B&B in Matlock. You are welcome you help yourself to drinks. The rooms have been thoughtfully arranged and completed for guests comfort whilst staying here, including a 'Things You May Have Forgotten' box. The beds are all a luxurious 7 ft long. The ethos of Sheriff Lodge is that all guests feel relaxed and thoroughly enjoy their stay . The breakfast consists of a comprehensive menu and all dishes are cooked to order. Jams, marmalade and bread is all homemade as well as the Hollandaise sauce. All ingredients are source locally wherever possible.

I have been the owner of Sheriff Lodge since December 2017 and fell in love with Sheriff Lodge at first sight. Its a beautiful building and was in need of plenty of TLC which I have spent the last year making it has received plenty. Derbyshire is a beautiful county with so much to do - including the marvellous Chatsworth and the enchanting Haddon Hall. Both close by and within easy distance. There are also numerous walks to enjoy both from the Lodge and beyond.

We are situated on the edge of The Peak District National Park - the first to be designated as such back in the 1950s - and we are less than a 5 minute walk down into Matlock which has numerous great restaurants and super hostelries. There is a huge variety of eateries to suit all budgets and tastes.
