Seaflowers

Suzy is the third generation of the Greenwood family to own Seaflowers. Raymond Greenwood found the beautiful creek-side property in 1990, inspired by his childhood holidays in the South Hams. Raymond's son Anthony and his wife Patricia converted the original bungalow into a purpose-built bed and breakfast in 2011. Offering all the luxuries of a five-star hotel, they ran a vibrant business for thirteen years, winning numerous awards. Having relocated from London to Devon, in 2024 their eldest daughter Suzy took over, redesigning Seaflowers into today’s modern guesthouse. Suzy lives in The Annex, adjoined to the main property. She may or may not be on site - either way she is quick to respond to messages to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. Please note that when she is not home, Suzy lets the Annex out to guests. The Annex shares the driveway to Seaflowers and has its own private enclosed garden to the side of the main property.

Reserve Seaflowers’ entire guesthouse for 14 people for complete privacy, or book on a room-only basis to enjoy the luxury of a 5-star hotel room with the convenience of shared facilities. The guesthouse has 5 beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms and a generously sized suite for 4 (or 5 including the cot room). Offering luxury and comfort, all bedrooms are equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a refrigerator, premium quality Egyptian Cotton linen, fluffy towels, a hairdryer and Faith In Nature toiletries. When booked privately, guests have full exclusive use of Seaflowers’ property and gardens. On a room-only basis, you'll share the communal entrance, kitchen, living-dining area and garden with other guests. The well-equipped kitchen includes a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The living-dinning space has table and lounge seating for 14. Please note that Seaflowers is self-catered and breakfast is not provided. For full-house bookings we do offer meal add-ons via our website (a welcome supper, afternoon tea and three course dinner party). There's a hot tub on the terrace overlooking the Creek and lawn. We own the foreshore and have a boatshed kitted out with stand-up paddle boards to borrow. You're also welcome to bring your own boats, kayaks & SUPs. We have a small chicken garden, with fresh eggs. There is parking for 6 cars, including EV charging. Seaflowers is made all the more unique with interiors featuring the artwork of British artist Bert Fowler and furnishings from his homeware brand, Bert & Buoy. The central space showcases an original commission and each bedroom is themed around one of Bert's well-known characters.
