We’re Kate and Joe, we bought Route 2 Café & Apartments in the winter of 2022. Newly married and for some reason, spurred on to work together, the opportunity to do so came up in the town Joe has lived in for all of his life. A huge change of career for the us both, but a massively exciting one too! An undertaking made slightly more interesting after we welcomed our 1st little boy to the world/team in June 2023. We are so passionate about looking after the 17th century building whilst putting our stamp on Route 2 Café, Bar & Apartments.

Route 2 Apartments, located above Route 2 Café Bar, comprise four beautifully rich in character, self-contained, self-catering apartments. Formerly the Steam Packet Inn, named for the steam packets that sailed from Topsham to London, this era is recalled through the apartments with original decorations saved from the many years the building spent as an Inn. With outstanding estuary views looking out across Topsham Quay, Route 2 is centrally located in this lively town full of shops pubs and restaurants.

Route 2 is located on the corner of Holman Way and Monmouth Hill, just off Topsham Quay where there is ample public parking, free from 5pm to 8am. On street parking is available on Holman Way towards the train station. There is also reasonably priced, long stay parking in the Holman Way car park (parking on the Quay during the day is more expensive)
