Based on a working organic farm, River Cottage is home to a cookery school, events & dining space and thriving kitchen garden. Our values are rooted in seasonal, ethical food and sharing the joys of countryside living.

The River Cottage Farmhouse is an iconic early 17th-century building, beautifully restored as a sustainable countryside stay. With three thoughtfully designed bedrooms and the adjacent Gardener’s Cottage, it offers a peaceful rural retreat on the Devon–Dorset border. Original features like an inglenook fireplace and bread oven sit alongside simple modern comforts, making it a unique base for exploring River Cottage HQ or the surrounding countryside.

Nestled in the rolling hills near Axminster, River Cottage sits just moments from the Jurassic Coast and the charming seaside town of Lyme Regis.
