My name is Karen Robson. My husband Tom and I bought the guest house in 2011. We love living here and enjoy meeting lots of different and interesting people. We welcome guests who are golfing, cycling and walking and holiday makers from around the world. Every day is an adventure.

Our house was originally built around 1906 and was used as a Fever Hospital. Our house was used by the doctors, nurses and staff with the other buildings on the site being wards and a laundry. Our house still retains some of its original features like the stained glass panels on the front door, the working fireplaces and the original staircase. We are located just 10 minutes drive from St Andrews and 10 minutes drive from Dundee and benefit from plenty of on site parking. We offer 6, en suite bedrooms ranging from double, twin and family rooms. We are backed by woodland and you may enjoy a sighting of some red squirrels and a wide variety of wild birds. We are located on the outskirts of the village of St Michaels. We are located in a small holding next to the road so you should have no problem finding us. We are close to Tentsmuir Forest and Kinshaldy Beach which has a children's park and some great woodland walks. The St Michael's Inn is only a five minute walk from the guest house so if you want to have dinner and not drive into town it is a great alternative. We are only 10 minutes drive from St Andrews, and in the other direction, Dundee. They are in the process of building a Victoria & Albert Museum, you can find the Discovery and the Verdent Works, all great things to do. If you don't want to leave the guest house you are welcome to use the guest lounge which has SKY installed so you can catch up on all the latest sporting events, films and those programmes you just don't want to miss when away on holiday. You can even tape them on sky+ to watch later.
