A rural retreat or romantic hideaway close to the Helford creeks and beaches on the Lizard Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
large cabin - converted static with extended double bedroom and porch added onto the original space.
1 king bed - sleeps 2.
Bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and living area.
Microwave, wifi, smart TV, washing machine, deep freeze and heating and fan.
Off road private parking. The cabin is situated in the sunny corner of our large garden and we live on site. We are situated on a farm down 200 metres of private (bumpy) lane.
Further camping available on request (to share amenities).
Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions ad rocketing premiums, we can no longer allow guests to light our wood burner, but we do have an outdoor fire pit you are most welcome to use.
We are always available, and if one of us isn't at home, we are easily reachable via phone or text.
Please do contact us at any time - we are here to help!
Our aim is to provide you with a relaxed and friendly stay. If you like friendly locals, and a bit of rural, feral greenery down a bumpy lane, with a hint of farm life, this might be just the place......
Our garden runs alongside an old pilgrimage route to Mawgan Church and you can take the footpath straight into ancient woodlands, full of bluebells in spring, to the Helford creeks and picturesque villages of Mawgan and Gweek.
Local beaches include Church Cove, Poldhu and Kynance Cove. We are approx half a mile from the nearest village of Gweek and its wonderfully stocked village shop - and supermarkets are 3 miles to the nearest town.
We live close to Culdrose airbase (as does most of the Lizard Peninsula!) and this may mean on occasions some flying overhead - usually a Monday or Tuesday and only for a short time span - we just think its worth mentioning because we want to reassure future guests that its not a regular occurrence and if it does happen, its only for an hour if that!
