See our Youtube channel for a better view of the barn
We are a family of four living just across the yard from the barn. I have lived very close to Tirril all my life whereas in contrast my wife, Elizete, is originally Brazilian but has lived here for almost twenty years now. Hosting a holiday property is new to us but we are enjoying meeting all our guests and the challenge of keeping up the best service we can give.
Tirril is a very cozy little quiet village, with a great Pub (The Queens Head) and a garage. We are on the bus route from Penrith to Pooley Bridge (3 pubs, 2 restaurants, cafes, book shop, Gin shop, boat hire, walks), Ullswater Lake (Steamer stopping at Martindale, Glenridding, Aira Force, and Pooley Bridge), Aira Force (waterfalls), Glenridding (pubs, shops, lots of more challenging walks), and onto Windermere.
We also have a new signed pathway called the Eamont Way which takes in a milkshake vending machine farm, as well as a 12th-century church and some beautiful scenery.
Lowther Castle (Large gardens and a huge kids' castle) is also within walking distance in the village of Askham which boasts two traditional pubs, a church, and an outdoor swimming pool
