We are a friendly couple who will try our very best to ensure that your stay at Scooniehill is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We took over at Scooniehill in March 2019 and continue to improve our guest experience.
Sam is originally from Northern Ireland but lived in England for almost twenty years before taking the leap and becoming a hotelier !
Mike hails from central Scotland and after many years in banking decided to embark on a career as a chocolatier and children's party entertainer! The fruits of his labour are available to sample and buy at Scooniehill 🍫.
住宿信息
Our bed and breakfast is located in an beautiful old farmhouse on the outskirts of St Andrews. It offers the proximity to a vibrant town, famous for golfing and it's university but the added peace, tranquility and views from a semi rural area looking down on the town and the sea from a high viewpoint. We currently have four rooms (3 en-suite and 1 with an external private bathroom) and a self-catering hut/ one bedroom chalet in our garden (called Morag).
As a gift from us to you, you will be greeted with some complimentary chocolates from Maleys (Mike is a chocolatier in his other world!). Our farmhouse breakfast uses local produce where possible with our bacon, sausage, black pudding and eggs all coming from local sources, and our jams and marmalade being made right here in our kitchen!
Our spacious garden offers outdoor seating in our walled garden at the front and panoramic views of the area at the back.
Our team is 50% human, 50% feline, with Mr Stripes and Zeus living on the premises (the cats don't enter the rooms but they are often to found lazing in the sunroom).
We hope to see you soon at Scooniehill 😊

Scooniehill Farmhouse is ideally situated with the best of both worlds: 1.5 miles from the centre of the vibrant university and golfing town of St Andrew's but also right in the heart of the countryside with excellent views of the rolling Fife hills and total tranquility if you're looking to 'get away from it all'.
For a town of it's size, St Andrews has a remarkable amount of things to do and see from history (our cathedral and castle), to sport (there are 10 golf courses in the immediate area), museums (golf, preservation, local history and the university) to entertainment (we have our own cinema and theatre and many local events). We also have stunning beaches and lots of opportunities for walking.
The town also boasts many great eateries of a very high standard
