Imagine sitting on the south facing deck, sipping a glass of wine whilst watching the ever changing Windrush Lake with its abundance of wild fowl, walking around the beautiful grounds, carp fishing or boating on the lake. Or enjoying a game of tennis, boules, table tennis, or discovering miles of safe cycle paths around the Cotswold Water Park. The children could be playing on the swings, zip wire and climbing frame in their own safe play area or playing giant chequers. Don’t imagine it, book it!

I am mum to 2 teenagers, lucky enough to be living locally in this beautiful location. I love welcoming guests to the lodge and helping them have a great experience. I manage Liming Lodge for my parents who also live locally.

Everyone knows the Cotswolds has an abundance of the prettiest little towns and villages you can imagine. Real “chocolate box” stuff. Bibury with its famous Arlington Row, Burford, Bourton on the Water to name just a few - Cirencester is our nearest town but still retains an eclectic range of shops as well as having excellent superstore facilities. But there is so much more here. There are many opportunities for water lovers - in and out of the water. Fishing, canoeing, paddle boarding, sailing and open water swimming. Or how about being dragged along by a speedboat in a rubber ring, on a wake board or water skies. Near Liming Lodge is a fantastic driving centre offering 10-80yr olds the chance to drive a proper rally car. Personally recommended by my children! With over 140 lakes in the Cotswold Lakes area you are never short of a scenic walk or cycle ride. Stop at one of the many cafes, pubs or restaurants to relax. It really is a wonderful place to visit.
