Lakeside Country Guest House is full of character built in 1904 with original interior features of the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts style, including handcrafted staircases and stained glass windows. The high ceilings in every room create a feeling of space and the large front windows frame the mountains beyond beautifully. The peaceful location is within easy reach of the A66 providing a main route to the whole of the Lake District National Park.

We are both very open and friendly. We love chatting to people and finding out where others live and we also enjoy sharing the best of the Lake District with our visitors. We love road biking and Tim mountain bikes when he gets the chance. One of his favourite places is Whinlatter where there are routes to suit all abilities. Tim also likes to open water swim and is often to be seen in Bassenthwaite Lake during the summer months. When she isn't biking, Karen loves getting out on the fells whether that is running or walking. We both have an interest in food and enjoy sourcing the best products we can for the breakfasts we serve at the guest house. Our aim is to make sure that all our guests feel cared for and happy in relaxed and comfortable surroundings. Everyone deserves a lovely holiday and we hope meet expectations for all our guests.
