Kinkell Byre is a family-run wedding and events venue just outside St Andrews. The farm has been run by the family for nearly 70 years and has seen various transformations from livestock and arable farming to pheasant farming to offroad driving and corporate activities and, since 2003, to a thriving wedding and events venue.
The cabins are next to a rustic old barn weddings and events venue with fantastic sea views across St Andrews Bay up the North East coast of Scotland. They are very close to the Fife Coastal Path and situated between the Castle Course and Fairmont golf courses. St Andrews is only 2 miles away with all its historical, cultural and golfing attractions and we are bordering on the East Neuk of Fife with its delightful string of ancient fishing harbours, beaches and thriving artistic communities....
The cabins also overlook our rewilding project. Kinkell Byre is rewilding the old farmland and sea braes, allowing nature to take over and restart ancient processes with the aim of bringing back lost wildlife and addressing the twin crises of biodiversity and climate change. We are planting trees, making ponds, creating wildflower meadows, leaving plants to grow and conservation grazing with Highland Cows and Ponies to help kickstart Rewilding. The cabins are situated next to stunning old rustic barns that are now a wedding and events venue with weddings at weekends.
