Tyler Hill Annexe is an ideal location to explore Canterbury and Kent and a perfect place to relax. Set in the countryside and surrounded by 7 acres of land it is an ideal place to relax away from it all. The Annexe provides private and independent accommodation with comfortably furnished sleeping, seating and dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen, shower room and underfloor heating. It has an open field in front of it and a woodland at the back.
We are accessed via secure wrought-iron gates on a long gravel driveway situated along the route of the original Crab and Winkle railway line.
A perfectly located rural independent detached annexe building from which to explore our local area, be that the UNESCO sites in Canterbury, the ancient woodland of Blean or the trendy coastal town of Whitstable.
The local village pub the Tylers Kiln, a 10 minute walk away, was named Kent Pub Of The Year in 2016 and receives excellent reviews.
An English and Italian couple. We always try bed and breakfast places when on holiday and are happy to help guests with questions that they may have.
We love meeting new people from all over the world as we have both travelled extensively and are always available for our guests.
We are 5 minutes by car from the historic city of Canterbury and its attractions.
We are also very close to the cool sea side town of Whitstable, always a good place to visit.
Dover is only 30 minutes away, so we are a great overnight stop over on your way back or forth.
If you are a Foodie, this area is ideal for you. The Sportsman in Faversham is Michelin starred as is The Fordwich Arms, at Fordwich. In nearby Bridge, there are two excellent restaurants, The pig and The Bridge arms. These all have websites and need advance booking!
There are many other lovely restaurants in the area.
We also recommend Cafe des Amis (Mexican)and Cafe du Soleil(International fusion)both in
Canterbury. Booking advised at weekends. There is also the full range of chain restaurants .
Overall, we are very well placed to enjoy Kent's attractions and 55 minutes on the high speed train from London St Pancras.
If you enjoy shopping Canterbury has many chain and independent shops. Whitstable is great for individual boutiques and 30 minutes away is Ashford shopping outlet.
The towns of Deal, Sandwich, Margate, with the Turner contemporary art gallery and Ramsgate are all worth a visit.
