Handywater is in a small village a mile outside Henley on Thames. The area is an AONB, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Yet the local train station will take you to London Paddington in 50 minutes and even Heathrow airport is only 35 min away. We feel very privileged to live in such a beautiful area of England and hope that you too discover and appreciate the beauty of this part of Oxfordshire.

Bookings from 12th April 2021! We are extremely happy to confirm that we are taking bookings from 12th April 2021. Because our guests stay in separate luxury cottages around our courtyard and not in the main house, a single household of two people can stay in each of the four cottages as a short term holiday let of a minimum of 2 nights. Due to restrictions, there are no normal facilities for food with this offer but this can be discussed with you before your stay. We are Natalie and Ray living in a pretty 4 bedroomed cottage that dates back almost 500 years to 1634, although it has been completely modernised by the owners. Handywater Cottage is set in lovely gardens which you are welcome to enjoy during your stay. You can wake to the sounds of an English country garden, sit in the sun during the day or relax with a glass of wine in the evening!---We have birds in the trees, fish in the pond and horses in the paddocks. We have attractive comfortable rooms with all you need for a relaxing stay and many of our guests say it is ‘just like home form home'!

What makes us even more special? Natalie or Ray will provide you with a free taxi service, when we are available, within 15 miles. We can even collect and return you to Heathrow airport subject to flight times. If you are having a "drinking" party or a wedding to attend, we shall take and collect you.
