We are situated in the Lake District National Park on the A595, the main route for the west coast of Cumbria. You will find easy access to Scafell Pike and Wasdale Head within 1 hours drive away. The picturesque village of Broughton is a 5 minute drive with plenty of amenities such as a butcher, bakery, post office and convenience store. It has a beautiful market square great for enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple from one of the 3 public houses in the village. Coniston village and lake are approximately 20 minutes drive through glorious countryside and views of the Old Man. The bustling market town of Ulverston is a 20 minute drive and contains many shops, bars and restaurants. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and hosts many festivals throughout the year including 'Another Fine Fest' in June and the Dickensian weekend in November plus many more.
We have nice pub called The Greyhound within 800yds of the property which sells real ale and good food.
Details of all local attractions can be found in the property.
It is just a great base for which to explore and we hope you will all enjoy everything the Lake District has to offer.
