The property was converted from a hotel during the late 1960's and consists of some 60 apartments. The complex has a mixture of permanent residents and short stay holiday makers and people who let for longer periods. The entrance to the property is controlled by key fob access which ensures that the car parking and access to the property is restricted. Our property is situated above the ground level and the view from the living area is stunning all times of the year. We have kept the interior homely so people can relax while enjoying their free time. We have wi-fi access which does allow you to work and communicate with the wider world while you relax. There is a recycling location to the right of the car park and this will allow you to recycle and dispose of your waste during your stay. We believe we have provided most of the utilities you require to make your stay a happy one and from experience we can say that the apartment complex is generally quiet and harmonious. The grounds are generally maintained well. Access to the beach front is from the from of the car park and there are 3 shops at the far end of the beach which provide teas/coffees, snacks treats and beach toys.
We have a long history with the location dating back to the early 1970's. Growing up in Caswell and having had an apartment in the complex we take pride in our unique location and habitat. Residents living on site and locally are welcoming and appreciate the beach from surroundings and freedom of access to the South Wales coastline, services and amenities. We continue to live in Swansea with our grown up family and frequent Mumbles and Caswell throughout the year.
Besides the beachfront location, you have unique access to long coastal eastern and western pathways which lead into Swansea promenade and Swansea city (to the west). This route takes you along coastal pathway passing Langland bay, a thriving beach resort, Limeslade and Bracelet bay. You also pass by the famous mumbles pier and village of Mumbles where you will find bars restaurants and cafe's along with play areas for our children. The promenade continues for several miles along the seafront taking you directly into Swansea city and further West towards Port Talbot. The eastern coastal path will take you along scenic coastal routes where you can often see seal and occasionally dolphins. The path runs for several miles passing Brandy Cove, Pwll Du and later Oxwich which is a famous beach in S.Wales with many beach from facilities. Further routes take you along the South Gower coast in its entirety.
In Caswell itself there are opportunities to surf and learn via a local surfing school. Langland Bay gold course is only 1.5 miles away. There are many nature walks near the property and these are clearly marked on local maps and google map. Mumbles village is 1 miles away
