We are excited to announce that our brand new 3 bedroom holiday lodge (opened January 2024) on the banks of the River Yare is ready for you!
Ferry Lodge commands a beautiful riverside setting with wonderful river views. Featuring a timber interior, this spacious holiday lodge has all you need for an idyllic home from home waterside break. The open plan living area doors open onto the decking with seating furniture, ideal for relaxing in, soaking up the sun and watching the stunning Norfolk sunsets. Watch the boats pass by and keep a look out for wildlife in this peaceful location from the veranda and decking or from the comfort of your cosy lodge!
Bring your own boat and moor right outside and don't forget the kayaks and paddle boards to venture into the Norfolk Broads. Day boats and canoe* hire is possible locally. *Canoe rental discounts for guests is available.
River fishing is just a few steps away at the bottom of the decking and a bait fridge is provided in the shed, perfect for storing fishing equipment.
Ferry Lodge is in a fantastic location for relaxing and exploring the Norfolk Broads, coast and countryside and has an abundance of family attractions close by too! You can even jump on the train to the beautiful city of Norwich for some retail therapy, sightseeing and history or the popular seaside town of Great Yarmouth for fish and chips and ice-cream on the beach and the child friendly amusement park, Pleasure Beach.

Road maintenance on Riverside Estate will be taking place on Monday 19th May 2025 this may take up to two days to complete. The roadway between numbers 42 and 52 is the area work will be concentrated on apart from filling in potholes on other parts of the road. There will be disruption but Anglia Roadways will do their best to accommodate those entering and exiting this part of Riverside as best they can.

Situated in the village of Brundall, the centre for boat building and boat hire, which has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, hairdresser, Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, pizza takeaway Indian restaurant, Cafe & bakery (in season) and local pubs serving good food.
Quaint towns, villages and beautiful beaches are close by, as are an abundance of family attractions and beauty spots to suit everyone.
The train station is just a stroll from our lodges with links to the fine city of Norwich only 8 miles away, with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museum or Great Yarmouth for an ice-cream on the beach and all the fun at the Pleasure Beach with rides and amusements to keep all the family happy.
Explore the surrounding seaside towns and villages, Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, Horsey (seal colony), California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offering entertainment for a family holiday, as well as the pretty Broadland villages and countryside.
For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens. Fairhaven Woodland and Water Gardens is worth a visit, as is the village of Strumpshaw with a steam museum and RSPB reserve. For a nostalgic steam train trip from Aylesham to Wroxham, visit Bure Valley Railway. Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park and Banham Zoo, Amazonia, BeWilderwood, Roarr Dinosaur Adventure and Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park are close by too.
