On the ground floor is a stylish open-plan kitchen-dining-living area, with a superb inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, a family bathroom and a boot room. Upstairs, there is a family shower room and two bedrooms, one a spacious master bedroom with a super-king-size bed and the other a delightful twin room with two single beds. Burford is one of the ‘Gateways to the Cotswolds’ and one of the most beautiful towns in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. From its rich history to the beautiful architecture, Burford is a popular Cotswold destination for tourists from all over the world, no matter what time of year. The much photographed, sloping high street provides perhaps one of the most iconic streetscapes of the Cotswolds, greeted at the bottom by the charming River Windrush and medieval bridge. With plenty of shops, pubs and cafes waiting to be discovered, Burford is the perfect Cotswold town to explore over a weekend, with the nearest train station and taxis in Charlbury, just 8.5 miles away. It also makes a great base for longer stays, taking in visits to Blenheim Palace and Oxford to the east (20 miles) and the northern Cotswolds to the west.
