The Dorstan is owned and operated by our family of Richard, Maki, Harvey and Milly the dog! We live on the premises and we’re drawn to the house by the lovely old features of a house built in 1872.

The Dorstan is a lovely detached Victorian villa (1870) with traditional features and run by owners Richard & Maki, so you can be assured of a warm and personal welcome whether on business on holiday. Located in a quiet residential area of Edinburgh but only 0.8 miles from the Old Town with excellent bus service just 50m away. There is a private car park for 4 guest cars, subject to availability and not reservable.. After a quiet & comfortable night we also bring a breakfast to your room to set you up for the rest of your day. The continental style breakfast menu includes choices of fruit juice, cereals, yoghurt with fresh berries/granola/maple syrup, croissant with jam or filled with smoked salmon/scrambled egg or Parma ham/cheese or bacon/sausage/egg. We have vegan/vegetarian and gluten-free options. You may choose from ensuite rooms single bed, double bed, twin beds. And ensuite triple and quadruple rooms. There are also two single bedrooms each with own private bathroom just outside the room. All rooms have full central heating, colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Bed linens, towels, soap and shampoo are provided. Free wifi access available and breakfast is included for all stays.
