Discovery Bay

Joe and Natalie took over, Discovery Bay Apartments and Sands Restaurant in January 2019, running the restaurant all year round, which is very popular with the locals and overlooks the Bay of St. Ouens and Atlantic Ocean. Vicky joined in March 2019 to manage the Apartments and we are very happy to have received a 9.2 out of 10 for customer reviews. Joe is an avid surfer and has had Little Joes' Surf Shop and Surf School for 11 year now which is also adjacent to the apartments.

Located in a unique & prime position in the middle of St.Ouen's Bay, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. We have 11 apartments ranging in size from Studio, 1 bedroom to 2 bedrooms. Kitchen area has microwave, fridge/freezer, oven, hob, extractor fan, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots & pans as standard. All beds can be set up as a King bed or Twin beds & also have a double sofa bed. All apartments have a balcony & Apartment 1 has a terrace. All apartments have TV, free WiFi, hairdryer, clothes horse, iron and ironing board as standard and we provide bed linen, bath/hand towels and bathmat. Although self- catering we do provide a welcome pack on arrival to include bottled water, Jersey milk, sugar and coffee sachets, tea bags, a toilet roll, washing up liquid, cleaning liquid, tea towel, sponge/scourer, dishcloth & bin liners to get you started. Apartments do not have washing machines (except Apt 1). We do provide a wash service for a small fee. Travel cots available free of charge. Please ensure you advise us when booking if you would like to reserve one, we only have 3. Some apartments have the space for a childs blow up bed, please ask when booking.

Location locally known as the “Five Mile Road’ as there are five miles of glorious white sandy beach right on the doorstep. Some apartments have full views over the bay and out to sea, some a side sea view and others inland over the sand dunes and the National Trust Wetland Centre, ideal for bird watching. Only 5.2km / 7 minutes by car from the airport or 11.1km / 20 minutes by car from the harbour. Directions can be provided once booked. A bus is available from the airport with drop off outside. The main bus terminus is a short walk from the harbour. Bicycle hire can be arranged, however easier to book when here as they measure you to ensure you get a suitable bike but they can deliver and collect with a minimum 4 day hire. Car hire we recommend that you do this when booking travel with their relative partners & not something we can arrange for you. Waitrose, Co-op, Iceland, Mark's & Spencers, Morrisons and Boots are all within 4 to 6 km / 5 to 7 minutes by car radius. Waitose and Apartments are on the same bus route.
