Curbar Hillside B&B is located in Curbar, 4 miles from Chatsworth House and 5.6 miles from Bakewell.
The recently renovated, former stables provide custom made B&B accommodation in the beautiful Peak District, Derbyshire. We offer excellent modern facilities while maintaining the charm and character of a Peak District stable. These are separate from the main house where breakfast is served.
The stables have two luxury bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom and large shower. Both have king size beds and seating for two. There is a kettle for making tea and coffee with milk and sugar provided.
The dining room where breakfast is served is situated in the main house. This is just eight steps away from the stable block and it has it's own door for access. In the summer months, these large patio doors can be opened to give an even greater experience of the views outside. The stables have a lawned terraced sitting area, the perfect place to appreciate all the country side has to offer.
The garden has a large amount of visiting birds including pheasants, and ducks, a sparrowhawk now and then and tawny owls at dusk. The tick list is at 42 different birds.
Mark, your host, has lived near Bakewell for over 20 years and loves the area. He is an avid and experienced climber and cyclist and will be very happy to share his local knowledge with you.
We are based on the River Derwent, from where you can take many picturesque walks or cycle rides, exploring the moors, crags and fields. We are 10 5.6 miles from Chatsworth and local to many delightful local pubs and cafes. We are also close to Eyam Hall and plague village, and the National Trust owned Longshaw Estate and Park.
