Chilowen - Happy House

We love welcoming guests to our home. We've done a lot of traveling around Europe and Asia and really enjoy the easy connections that are made on the road. We love doing it in reverse and meeting people from all over the world.

Spacious double bedroom in happy house with shared bathroom. Perfect for a stop off to or from the airport, a visit to Edinburgh or surrounding area. If you have a car there are various Outlander film locations you can visit along the Fife coast and we are 2 minutes from the Fife Coastal Path if you are walking the route. Our kitchen/dining room has large bi-fold doors leading out onto the terrace overlooking our lovely garden. The kitchen is available for you to sit is and prepare simple meals. On nicer days you can eat out on the terrace and enjoy the garden, the birds and the pond. This accommodation is for private individuals who are traveling to Scotland, coming to an event, stopping off before or after a flight, etc. It is not suitable for company bookings or trades people. Please note that we are not in Edinburgh. Transport links to and from Edinburgh are very good during the day by train or by bus (both a 10 minute walk away). If you intend travelling to or from Edinburgh after 11pm transport becomes more challenging so please check Google maps, or Scotrail and Stagecoach websites for up to date information. The 747 bus to and from the airport runs half hourly from 0400 to 0048. After this time they are less frequent. Please check 'Stagecoach 747 timetables'.

Inverkeithing is a small town just over the river Forth (via our beautiful bridges) north west of Edinburgh. We are a 10 minute walk from the town where there are shops for supplies, lots of takeaways and one Indian restaurant. Other restaurants are easily accessible by car in Dalgety Bay (also by train or bus) or South Queensferry. Our house is set in a lovely big garden which we love. We have a few neighbours but none overlooking us so it's private and quiet. It's a 10 minutes walk to the train station where there are frequent trains to Edinburgh, just a 20/25 minute ride away. There are also trains north east to some of the Fife coastal villages. There are half hourly buses to the airport, and also buses into Edinburgh from the town if you prefer.
