“The property is a 5 minute drive from the centre of Kendal. It is a 25 minute drive from both Windermere and Morecambe. So a great location. The hosts (Angela and Clive) couldn't do more to make our stay any better.”

There are 3 properties that comprise Helm Mount Barns, a full restoration project that was completed in June 2015. We have tried to keep the character of the old barns and have left exposed beams as a feature in most rooms. All properties have modern kitchens and they all have wood-burning stoves in the lounge areas. The Lodge is a real bonus when both Spring and Autumn Cottages are booked together as this provides a large communal area to all gather together.

Barrows Green comprises of a dozen properties and a pub! It is a perfect base whether you are visiting the Lake District and/or Yorkshire Dales. We are 5 minutes from Kendal and yet feel as if we are in the middle of the countryside.
