Ricardo and Fiona Gabbiadini purchased Ashbourne House in July 2019 after 23 years experience in another guesthouse nearby.
住宿信息
Ashbourne House was built in the later 1800's making it a Victorian Property. Some of the original features such as the Victorian Geometric Tiles in the entrance and hallway are still in place which are beautiful. The large elegant airy Breakfast room, which has been recently renovated to a high standard, is the perfect place to enjoy an "Award Winning" Breakfast before you venture out for your busy day in York or the surrounding countryside, such as The Dales, Moors or The Coast if you have chosen Ashbourne House for your base to travel round Yorkshire.
Each room is individually decorated and an ongoing refurbishment program is in place to redecorate rooms and en-suites as necessary. Only one room left to do now!
Within lockdown, along with the Breakfast Room refurbishment, we redecorated reception, replacing furniture and we also renovated the impressive staircase which has been stripped back to the original wood and lovingly restored and decorated to a high standard.
周边信息
Ashbourne House is situated on the A19, Fulford Road, on the South side of the city. This road is a main bus route into the city from Town of Selby and surrounds villages, making it a regular route. Also the Park and Ride from York McArthur Glen Designer Outlet which is a few minutes away runs through the city centre to the Train Station, making the Railway within easy access too.
Fulford is a sought after residential area which is halfway between the city centre and the University of York, making a good place to stay for parents or business people visiting the University. We are very close to Fulford Golf Club and also York Racecourse being a short walk over the River Ouse on the Millennium Bridge which is very convenient for Racegoers.
If you prefer to walk to the City you can do so by following the beautiful riverwalk along the Ouse, which is parallel to Fulford Road, on the treelined footpath, there is also a cycle path if that is your preference. This takes around 20-25 minutes. You can also go over the Millennium Bridge and walk over the other side of the River and stroll through the famous Rowntrees Park, which is lovely. All in all a very convenient place to stay.
