We (Steve & Ilze) warmly welcome you to Ards House, we are in our eigth season running our four star B & B. We feel very fortunate to live here in such a beautiful part of the world, with panoramic views across the Firth of Lorn, surrounded by mountains and the Morvern Hills beyond.

Ards House is a traditional Victorian Villa still keeping much of its original charm, warmth, and character. It benefits from stunning views over the sea and mountains beyond with spectacular sunsets. The house is located in the village of Connel with three restaurants within walking distance, train station, buses, local shop and church. Connel is five miles from the popular town of Oban offering many sea food restaurants and ferries to the islands. This season we have opened a new a self catering apartment with its own entrance, log burning stove and panaramic sea views. Ards House benifits from a large private car park opposite.

Connel is on the shores of the Firth of Lorn and Loch Etive, with the Falls of Lora under the bridge, where there is an abunance of wildlife such as seals, sea otter and much more. Benderloch is about four miles north with beautiful beaches and the small mountain of Ben Lora. Oban airport is opposite where there are scenic flights and scheduled flights to some of the islands. There is sea kyaking school about 300 metres away. From Ards House there are numerous walks into Oban and surrounding countryside. A popular place to visit from here are the islands of Mull, Iona and Staffa, early booking is recommended. Fort William and Glencoe are about a 50 minute scenic drive. In Oban there is the distillery, McCaigs Tower, boat trips and the island of Kerrrera.
