Mitch has been living on the island for over 4 years ...... he is a Scot born in Edinburgh. He bought Allandale House in March 2022 from dear Anne's deceased estate and, although Allandale House has been run as a guest house for more than 50 years, they are slowly bringing it back to life. He also runs the ever popular Hunters Guest House in Brodick which boasts beautiful views over the sea.
Mitch has his finger in many pies and has an entrepreneurial spirit and loves walking his furry children - Bertie, a G1 labradoodle, and Jimmy, a cocker spaniel.
住宿信息
Mitch took over Allandale House, built in 1894, on 01 April 2022. It is an old building with limited potential to modernize - it is not 4 or 5 star accommodation. There are also dogs on site and dogs are welcome into Rooms 5 & 6, so if you have animal allergies, then Allandale may not be for you.
There is however a warm, calm serenity about the place - clean with really comfortable beds help rest your body after a day of exertion, while the garden, which is a project development into the best on Arran by 2024, is peaceful with soft grass, trees, birds and plenty of sunshine in Summer.....
The breakfasts are made with love - starting off with Mitch's healthy parfait of muesli, yogurt and fruit together with fruit juice, followed by a full Scottish meal from your menu choice with bottomless coffee or tea.
We offer dinner on Thursday, Fridays and Saturday's, have a look at our menu located in the top bar under "Restaurant".
Once set up with your breakfast sustenance, Allandale House is centrally located for walks/hikes, or bicycle rides. The bus stops right outside the property as well.
Allandale House offers a relaxed environment, centrally situated on the island. You don't even need to bring your motor vehicle.
