La Maison de Concise is dated 1820. It was the property of benedictins monks who lived there in a little community and prayed in the little chapel close by.
Then the house was dedicated to host the travelers and horse riders .
the owners used to make their wine and pressed the grapes collected in the neighborhood in their big wine press in the basement.
The legend sais it would be a secret tunel from the house to the little monastery of la Flechère where the sisters lived, 100m from there!
we bought this house as we were attracted by her cosy atmosphere and we felt very comfortable as we stepped in.
The Place de la Fontaine is one of the last place in thonon which is still preserved from the newly built areasFrom the house, we just have to walk 5 mn to the beautiful lake and the view when you walk down is wonderful...
