Nellim Holiday Home is very peacefull without tourists, having privat beach by the lakeside of Inari. Aurora borealis can be watched right from the window and terrace of the house. The only local restaurant is situated only 800 meters from the house. There are only 200 inhabitants in the village, no shops, no bus connection, but great safari services to experience wilderness animals like reindeers, husky- and snomobilesafaris, icefishing, skiing and visiting a reindeer farm. At the summertime the midnight sun is really beautiful experience, also fishing, canoeing and boat trips are fabulous in the lake Inari. Nearest shops are in Ivalo, 42 km from Nellim, where is the airport and other services. Skiingcenter Saariselkä is situated 90 km from Nellim, and Inari village 90 km, where is situated the third popular museum in Finland, the Saamimuseum. Saami people is the original people of Nellim village. Nellim Holiday Home is situated in the oldest Saami farm in Nellim village, which was established by the great-grandfather of the owner of the Nellim Holiday Home.

The owner of the place belongs to the indigenious people of Aanaar Saami people. She teaches Aanaar Saami language and make traditional Aanaar Saami handicraft. You´ll meet the owner wearing traditional Saami clothing. There are only about 400 Aanaar Saami speakers in the world. The owner´s family has lived in this place very long time. The owner fish, hunt, drive by snowmobile and by boat.

Nellim is very peaceful village. Russian border is closed, but worth seeing for example from the bridge of Paatsjoki, which is only 10 km away from Nellim Holiday Home. Norway border is only 50 km away, where there is Övre Pasvik national park. Tsarmimountain is about 25 km away. It´s really great place to hike.
