Olemme perheyritys ja olemme halunneet aina vaalia alueen paikallista perintömme Kolin alueella. Metsäpirtti tila ostettiin v.2012 ja sen halusimme palauttaa entiseen kuntoon. Savusauna ,päätalo ja ,navetta ovat entisillä paikoillaan. Metsäpirtin ensimmäiset asukkaat ovat tuttuja Jänisvaaran väelle ja heidän tyttärensä oli 50-luvulla Jänisvaarassa hoitamassa Erkin sisiaruksia. Halusimme säilyttää alkuperäistä asumismuotoa myös asiakkaillemme ihailtavaksi. Metsäpirtillä on kaksi perhettä elänyt koko elämänsä ja haluamme myös antaa kokemuksen nykypäivän ihmisille miten vaatimattomissa oloissa ihmiset elivät koko elämänsä. Metsäpirtin pieni aitta on ns" Irjan aitta" ja isomoi aitta äidin ja isän aitta. Irja tytär kertoili,, että hän luki kirjaa vielä lokakuussa aitassa kun oli oma rauha. Lapaset kädessä :) Erkin kotitila Jänisvaara on ollut asuttuna 290 vuotta koko ajan saman Mustosten suvun hallussa ja monenlaiset tarinat mahtuvat tilan historiaan. Iris on ensimmäinen "miniä" joka on tullut tilalle Pohjois-Karjalan ulkopuolelta . Kunnitoitus ja arvostus menneiden sukupolvien työhön kaski - ja kivikkomailla on koko perheellämme sieluun piirretty.

Metsäpirtillä voit peseytyä puulämmittisessä saunassa joka sijaitsee erillään mökistä. Mökissä ei ole juoksevaa vettä. Metsäpirtti on 100 vuotta vanha asuinpaikka, jossa olemme halunneet säilyttää hivenen sitä tunnelmaa mitä oli entisinä aikoina. Olemme koonneet sinne tavaroita menneiltä ajoilta ja sisiustaneet osittain majoituspaikan entisöimällä vanhoja huonekaulja. kaikki tekstiilit on teetetty ammattikäsityöläisillä tai tehty maatilan emäntien toimesta. Maatilamme miljöö on ainutlaatuinen kokemus Kolilla ja toivotamme teidät avoimin mielin tervetulleeksi seuraamme.

Neighbourhood information

Kolilla on paljon luonnon nähtävyyksiä, itse oikeutuuna on tietysti Ukko-Kolin vaarat. Varaa yksi päivä vaarojen kierrokselle. Toisena päivänä pikkupolut esim, Räsävaaran näköalatorni, pirunkirkon luolasto, Kaiskuniemen saari jono, käräjäkalliot tai Tarhapuron vesiputous, Suomen vanhin luontopolku sekä retket Pieliselle. Idyllinen ruokapaikka löytyy Kolin kylän keskustassa jossa tarjoillaan hyvää ruokaa ja puoti josta voit hankkia paikallisia käsitöitä.
