Some destinations are simply a must-see.
In the front yard of the LeviChalets , there is a gem hidden behind the coniferous trees. 766 STAIRS that lead all the way down the village behind the Hotel Spa. Many use it for training as it´s an easy way to get your heart rate up when you climb with a brisk pace. A more leisure tempo gives you time to breath in the fresh forest air and listen to the birds singing.
SANTA CLAUS´cottage was built for a film set in the Levi fell slopes. The movie was called Christmas Story and this was the setting for Santa´s childhood home. There is nothing inside the cabin but the terrace has an amazing view across the Ylläs, Kätkä and Aakenus fells. It is situated in the Levitunturi slope between pistes number 10 and 11. It is an easy spot to reach. It´s half an hour hike from the base of the Gondoli2000 lift or you can take the panoramic lift.
