Originally our passion was horses. Mona has trimmed dogs over 15 years . Lately the main focus is on the well being of animals and people. Now that we have a sheep farm it is essential to work with dogs so we also have a number of sheep dogs to herd the sheep and some poodles to keep everyone company.

Box Gård is a family owned estate on the sea in the Archipelago of Southern Finland. The younger generation, who moved here from Helsinki in 2007, have taken over recently and are now into sheep farming and renting Tiira cottage and Alli sauna all year round.

The clean fresh air, the closeness to the sea and freedom to walk in the forest with lots of space is the best thing for stressed out people. Many enjoy fishing off the pier or the row boat. Children love the sandy beach. Our village, Box, is a very small sleepy and a peaceful place to live in. In the summer time there is a shop at the harbor which is a walking distance from us. In December our guests are very welcome to choose their own Christmas tree and bring it back to the cottage. Tammisaari is 15 minutes from us and there you can find everything... shops, the market place, restaurants, cafes, Finland´s oldest movie theater etc.
