Schloss Beuchow

Schloss Beuchow in Lübbenau was not always a tourism business. Since laying the foundation stone in 1746 on the foundations of a Slavic castle, it has had a turbulent history. It was a manorial residence, later military service, labor and prison camp, temporary dormitory for war refugees and daycare. In 2011, the new chapter of the story begins with an idea: from the then ramshackle building to a place where it can be good, where the many facets of the Spreewald and the cultural wealth of the region are felt. Such a place, which was quickly clear, must be open, offer towards its guests and space, for families and friends of the Spreewald, young and old.

Schloss Beuchow is very family friendly. The extensive castle park has a beer garden with stage and a large children's playground within sight. The old church from the 12th century is today coffee bar and gastronomy of the beer garden. A total of 5 modern furnished apartments are available, three on the ground floor and two maisonette apartments upstairs. The size of the apartments and the number of possible guests vary. The ground floor apartments are equipped with parquet flooring and underfloor heating, and also have 3.80m high historic stucco ceilings. The two apartments upstairs have high quality wooden floorboards and are equipped with air conditioning. Some apartments have a cozy gas fireplace. The district Groß Beuchow belongs to the city Lübbenau and is about 6 kilometers from the center Lübbenau with cozy old town and Spreewaldhafen away. On the well-developed cycle paths you can explore the scenic surroundings of Lübbenau and the biosphere reserve Spreewald. As a starting point for long or multi-day cycling or hiking tours Castle Beuchow is very well suited. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Schloss Beuchow is conveniently located. A few hundred meters outside the village there is access to the motorway to Berlin and Dresden. There is a bus stop on site but the buses do not run that often.
