Oberwinter is located south of Bonn and is a northern district of Remagen. Nestled in greenery, it sits directly on the Rhine. The Rheinhöhenweg hiking trail passes through the Birgel district, which is situated on the elevated Rhine heights. The distance to Bonn city center is approximately 20 minutes (15 km), to Remagen around 10 minutes (5 km), and to Koblenz about 30 minutes. Public transport connections are excellent via Oberwinter train station, where trains run several times per hour to Bonn/Cologne and Koblenz. Doctors, schools, kindergartens, and shops for daily needs can be found about 1 km away in Oberwinter’s town center. Arriving by car is the easiest option. Alternatively, trains from Cologne/Bonn or Koblenz stop several times per hour at Oberwinter station. From there, a short but somewhat steep path leads up to us on the Rhine heights.
