Niki's House

Hi, my name is Evgenia. I've studied Economics and I was working for a leading Shipmanagement company for 35 years. In June 2013, I decided to grasp the opportunity of an early retirement in order to occupy myself with our family business. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, going to the beach, and spending time with my family. Here at Nikis House our ultimate goal is to offer our guests a unique experience of traditional Cypriot hospitality. Visitors will enjoy the Cyprus style decorated rooms as well the comfort and peacefulness . They will also like the garden surrounded by the rooms ,full of all kind of flowers where they can sit and have their breakfast or lunch or sitting in the evening watching the stars and enjoy their drink.

Pavsaniou street ,where Nikis House is located , is in the center of the old village of Agios Athanasios. Before 1974 Agios Athanasios was a small village which by the years was expanded and currently is a city of 16000 citizens. A town Hall ,very close to Nikis House ,was recently built and the square around the Hall has been renovated .The library is in the same area ,the renovation is finished and it is open for visitors every afternoon. On Pavsaniou street all houses are made from stone and wood and visitors will enjoy the tranquility and peace of the area. Many of the houses have been renovated under the governmental scheme for the protection of heritage .Very close to Nikis House there is also a traditional tavern with live music which serves "meze".The house of the first mayor of Agios Athanasios is in this street and it has also been recently renovated to accommodate the museum of local culture and art .It will open as soon as all the works are completed .
