Offering a beautiful mountain setting just 2 km from Poás Volcano National Park, Altura Hotel features rooms with views of Costa Rica’s Central Valley. “Charming hotel way out by some fields near Poasito. The views are superb and you feel like you are on a farm. There are cows nearby, a donkey, two shaggy dogs, and at least one cat. The staff are helpful and a nice breakfast is included.”
