Hello everyone! I am Kira Mow, first born of Octavio Mow, and first granddaughter of Mr. Tenloy and Mrs. June. It is a pleasure to welcome you to our home that has so much meaning for my family and me. Nine years ago my parents embarked on the adventure of opening our house for tourism, and seven years ago they delegated that privilege and responsibility to me. I hope you can feel comfortable and at ease in this simple and cozy place. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any questions about the house or the island. I am here to serve you. Mr. Tenloy's Place, a construction of approximately 70 years old, is one of the first houses built in concrete on the island of San Andres. The floor, doors, walls and some windows are the same since then. We have innovated in some aspects such as hurricane protection, reading lamps with USB connection to charge any device and energy saving system in each room. Named after our paternal grandfather, Charles Mow Bent, nicknamed 'Ten-loy' meaning 'tenth son'. He was the tenth son of Mrs. Bella Bent, a Raizal from San Andres, and Charlie Mow, a Canton-born Oriental who migrated to the islands in the 1880's brought by his own father, a Chinese shipping captain, along with 10 other Orientals who constituted the first Chinese colony in the islands, who adopted the language and customs and shared theirs with the Raizals. Mr. Tenloy together with his wife (our grandmother), Mrs. June Robinson Robinson from Providencia, used to receive students from Providencia who came to San Andres to finish their high school studies. It can be said that they were the first guests of the inn. This house keeps the history and memories of 3 generations that were born and raised here. Today, it is part of the inheritance and legacy of Mr. Tenloy's firstborn, Octavio Mow -our father-, his children and grandchildren. Welcome!

The neighborhood is located in the central residential area of the island, quiet and safe (without the bustle of downtown), a few blocks from the main beach of the city center, as well as the commercial and banking area, which is within walking distance. It is also very close to the airport, stores and supermarkets, as well as restaurants, drugstores, etc. From Mr. Tenloy's Place, public transportation is easily accessible (both there and back), particularly for those who wish to go to the beaches of the southern sector, or visit tourist attractions around the island.
